Up-and-coming Author's That You May Not Have Heard Of
Everyone or at least almost everyone has heard of Dean Koontz, Stephen King, James Patterson, Anne Rice, or one of the other many famous authors out there. Well there are thousands if not millions of authors that you have not heard of either due to them being new or unnoticed and therefore unsuccessful. Just becoming an author is a success. Becoming a known author is an even greater success.
I myself am an author of several fiction novels as well as a writer of online articles. I am writing this article with hopes of sharing the names of up and coming authors that you may or may not have heard of yet. The fact is I have had the honor of becoming friends and or associates with each of them over the last year and have seen their work achieve success be it minor.
All of these authors are artists in their own right. They write stories of their own creation and design. They publish their stories for you the general public to read and review with either positive or negative feedback. An author that writes a bad novel can wind up having a short lived career while writers that create great novels and have potential may go unnoticed by those with the resources to help them achieve greatness.
The following are author bios sent in to me by the authors who wished to participate in this article:

Yolanda Gaston, born and raised in Houston TX, first discovered her love for books at an early age. Having always been an avid reader, she naturally crossed into writing. She first wrote poetry, which is still her greatest love. Later, she found that penning short stories proved to be another strong interest. If you asked her what her favorite genre is next to poetry, she’d quickly tell you its Christian fiction. It was the interest in reading Christian fiction books (and the lack of great books in the genre) that prompted her to write her own stories. “As long as I write, my stories will always have a happy ending. After all, that’s the basis of the foundation of Christianity - faith. You can’t have faith without thinking that you too will have a happy ending.”
Yolanda currently lives in Virginia with her husband and their three children. It is there that she’s also established her ministry, From the Throne Ministry. “God has called me to do many things, but first and foremost I’ve been called to help His people. While I love to write, I’ve realized ministry is always first. Writing has not only become a fun way to share my feelings, testimonies and advice with others, but it’s been great seeing how it meshes so well within the ministry. Everything flows so well together. I know that this is my destiny; this was meant to be.”
Yolanda is the author of the poetry collection “Seasons & Elements”, in which she poetically shares her testimony of love and marriage. She recently published her second book, “Reflections of an Inner Being”, which is a mixture of poetry and short stories. Information about the author, her books and her ministry can be found on her website, which is named after her first book, Seasons & Elements.
My name is Julie Bechtel. I am 35 years old. I am a mother of three great kids. I started writing after the death of my older brother in 2004. It started out as a way for me to cope with the loss it was only a matter of time until writing became a passion for me. As a child I had a vivid imagination as I got older I thought that would change, but it never did. I have written a total of 6 books. Only three of them did I decide to get published. My first book is called, Changing Times. It is available at publishamerica.com. My second book is called, Before Sunset. It is available at the same site. My third novel I opted not to get pushed through Publish America. It is available at kindle.com and smashwords.com. The title is, Love's Revenge. I am in the process of writing another novel that should be available by Christmas time.
I want to thank the authors that participated in this article and submitted their personal bios for you the reader to learn a little bit about them and what they write. These are authors that are quite successful in their own regions. The question is, have you heard of them. If you have not, then I must inform you that you are missing out. With all of the vampire genre books in circulation that you only know about because a producer made a movie or a television show out of them, don’t you think you owe it to yourself to read those overlooked for such projects. You might just find that they are Diamonds in the rough.
